This year we’re going to keep the party going all year long! There's something for everyone whether you're you're looking for Grown Up time, Kids’ Parties, Family Events, or a Night Out with friends. Support our school while having fun with Alvarado friends new and old.

- Check out the Cheat Sheet for the full list of parties. Make a note of those you want to attend.
- Notice on the Cheat Sheet the evenings where a Kids Party and a Grownup Party match up -- you can sign up for both and handle your child care for the evening!

Sign Up Parties are a big source of funds for Alvarado. This is our chance to have fun while contributing to important staff, programming, and enrichment needs!

CLASSROOM ART PROJECTS
Each class makes an art project that would make Ruth Asawa proud. The parents make donations and raise money for the class. You can out bid the class on a piece that you love and take it home!
RAISE A PADDLE FOR FUND-A-NEED
District funding cuts next year, we even need to help protect our full time social worker who supports so much of our kids with social emotional needs.
Raffle winners will be announced at 7 PM Saturday Night. Keep an eye out and prepare to enter final bids on your favorite items.

What happens at the Online Auction?
Online Auction: Hundreds of items will be featured in the online auction. Add your bid and be sure to sign up for text alerts if you get outbid. Bidding will close at 10 PM Saturday and the highest bidder will will the item.
Silent Auction: A selection of items will be available in the Silent Auction. You can bid by writing your number and the amount of the bid on the bid sheet. Bidding will close at 9 PM and the highest bidder will will the item.
Sign-Up Parties / Events: Sign-Up Parties / Events : Parties/Events hosted by Alvarado families and teachers where you can purchase a ticket (per person) to attend. Slots are limited so we suggest you sign up on Friday Night. Don’t forget, unless specified as a family ticket, you will need to sign up individually for every person attending the party.
Classroom Art Projects: Each class creates a project that will be displayed at the event and available for silent bidding over the amount raised by the classroom families. To bid, To bid, enter the amount on the auction item.
Raise-A-Paddle (Fund-a-Need): Raise-A-Paddle/Fund-a-Need is a direct appeal for cash donations to support part of our children’s education. After the video appeal, We encourage you to contribute an amount that is meaningful for you via the online auction. Raise-A-Paddle ends at 10 PM with the close of the Auction.
Where does the money go?
The proceeds from the Gala are a significant contribution to the overall PTA budget, funding school programs, and community events, as well as student and teacher support programs that are currently not covered by SFUSD.
Are my Gala purchases tax-deductible?
Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Only the excess of the amount paid over the stated fair value is deductible for income tax purposes. All contributions to Fund-A-Need are 100% tax-deductible. Please check with your tax advisor. Please note that Alvarado Elementary and the Alvarado Gala Committee are not responsible for the tax consequences of any Gala transaction. The Alvarado PTA is a Section 501 (c) (3) Non-Profit Tax ID #94-6171208.
